GentleYag for Skin Tightening
| The GentleYAG laser is an Nd:YAG laser that can successfully tighten skin and stimulate collagen production in the skin with No Down Time!
It can even safely treat tan* and dark skin.
Treatments take as little as 10-20 minutes but may be longer depending on the area treated. You can even have a treatment during your lunch break and return to work looking fine.
The GentleYAG tightens by heating the underlying layers in the skin and stimulating the formation of new collagen, resulting in smoother, younger-looking skin. Six (6) treatments are recommended.

Skin Tighenting
The GentleYAG’s patented epidermal cooling system protects the skin surface with every laser pulse allowing for quick results and patient comfort. Only the skin beneath the surface is affected by the laser. This results in firmer, tighter skin and a more youthful appearance.

When GentleYAG is combined with Fraxel Laser Treatment or Photo Facials, results become additive and go beyond what either laser can do individually. We recommend combining a package of each for optimal rejuvenation (see reverse side.) Another advantage of combining these treatments is that during the summer months and at times when no down time is especially important, the GentleYAG treatments can be done.
Preparation and during your procedure
A topical anesthetic gel may be recommended prior to your treatment. Treatments are well tolerated. The feeling has been described as being snapped by a rubber band or as a slight stinging sensation. Following treatment the area may feel warm or sting slightly, like a sunburn.
Aftercare
Use sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher on the treated areas for at least 2 weeks. Makeup may be worn immediately after treatment. Use gentle cleansers for several days.
Side Effects
Risks are minimal. Side effects may include redness, swelling and blistering, which may last several days. Other potential side effects include: hyperpigmentation (brown discoloration), hypopigmentation (loss of skin color), facial hair loss and purpura (bruise) in the treated area— which may last several days to weeks or longer. Permanent side effects are rare.
*Skin should not be recently tanned (do not tan for 2 weeks before or after treatment)
